Sometimes a little knowledge can be dangerous, you know how they say ignorance is bliss?

Well, bully to that.

You don’t have love learning to appreciate that when it comes to your biz? You need to know how all the bits and bobs work. Even if you’re not the one doing the bits or the bobs.

Same thing if you’re a marketer, looking after several different channels. You might not personally go in and manage them yourself but you need to understand how they all work and tie in to your overall strategy.

I want you to get the most out of your marketing efforts. Well, let’s be honest – I want you to get the most out of your Google Ads. 

And to do so? You should understand how it works. Like anything, the first time you try it may scare you a little, but as you delve in more you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about your ads. 

And how they fit into the overall strategy of your business. 

And therefore whether it’s something you need to outsource, or manage yourself.

I have a client side to my business, where we manage Google Ads on their behalf. And I think we do a mighty fine job of it.

But I’m very honest about the fact that in most cases an Ads Manager is not needed. You are perfectly capable of doing them yourself.

Whether or not you outsource come down to one simple question:

Can you still be profitable from your ads if you are also paying a management fee?

And a follow-up:

If you felt confident doing your own ads, and they were profitable, wouldn’t you rather keep your profit in-house?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about outsourcing specialist skill sets to get jobs done that I can’t do myself. 

But Google Ads doesn’t have to be that thing for you.
